The Operational Problem

Whistleblowers and investigative sources taking substantial personal risks require verifiable, tamper-resistant channels to submit evidence to news organizations without leaving traceable digital footprints or metadata fingerprints.

03 / ARCHITECTURE

Engineering Approach

The initial architecture investigated end-to-end PGP public-key encryption, automated file metadata excision (removing EXIF, author tags, and GPS coordinates), and Tor onion service routing to decouple source IP addresses from submissions.

04 / DEPLOYMENT

The Solution Delivered

An early-stage prototype demonstrating a zero-knowledge upload portal where incoming files are automatically scrubbed of metadata, encrypted in-memory before disk write, and stored in isolated storage volumes accessible only by newsroom cryptographic keys.
